Welcome to the 17-bit PD Collection on CD-ROM for CDTV. These two discs contains image copies of over 1700 disks from the 17-bit library, which would previously have cost over £1500 to purchase. To write out disks from the CD to floppy, make sure the CD-ROM is loaded, and if over a network (eg Parnet), make sure that the root directory is assigned as 17bita: before running the copier. You will need a floppy disk drive, disks are only written out to df0: Please note that although all disks have been tested, some contain bad language that some viewers may find offensive, and some may not work on all Amiga configurations. Many disks will only work properly on PAL (Europe, UK, Australia) systems. If your Amiga system supports both NTSC and PAL video, try using PAL. Although we have tried very hard to test all disks in this package for compatbility, we cannot guarantee every disk will work on your system, and we cannot offer any telephone or mail support for any of the public domain disks. If you have problems running the copier, make sure you disable any virus checkers, trackdisk monitors or other programs that monitor disk access, as these can prevent correct copying of disks. If you prefer to extract files via the Shell/CLI, or with a directory utility (eg Directory Opus), then copy to your hard disk DMS111.SFX, and run it. This will self-extract to give you DMS, which you can use to decrunch the files on the disc.
